I’ve called myself a skeptic, but I haven’t actually acted on it until my recent visit to TAM8. There are many different ideas of what a skeptic truly is and many panels focused on how to be a skeptic while still being open minded/tolerant of other people’s choices. As in how can you call yourself

I’m very proud of my kids. All of them. Yes I make comments and sometimes talk about this dumb thing or that bad move, but all-in-all my kids are doing well. Sure, in the grand world their accomplishments might not make a blip. My kids will likely never be professionals making big bucks. Never be

(I’m going to try like hell to be positive. I really am. I’ll save my negative comments for another post.) Picked up HellZiggy at around 1 and we had lunch and headed home to rest up for the night. Thursday night was good. Staff was surprised at how many people showed up. The numbers were

So if I seem to disappear from twitter, Facebook, here and everywhere it’s because from tomorrow afternoon through Sunday afternoon I’ll be over in Phoenix volunteering at and attending the PCC. This is the first year I’m volunteering. I asked for mornings, but I don’t have verification yet. Maybe I’ll get an email tomorrow. They’ve

Some and nothing. So I’m on an antibiotic for chlamydia. Stop laughing, it’s not that kind of chlamydia! Chlamydia pneumoniae. Not that I have symptoms, just that recent blood testing shows I have some of the bacteria in me and it could develop later. So… Sunday: I love Max-and-friends rental house. It’s a really nice

Successful camping is when: Nobody gets hurt Nobody goes to jail Nobody wrecks their vehicle* There’s still beer in the keg So, Casey/Jake/Ginnie/that other guy went out early Saturday morning to grab the space and the rest of us didn’t get out there til after 4. Of course, nobody told me we were going that

Not that I give a shit how many women Tiger Woods has fucked, other than it’s a shitty way to treat one’s wife. What maybe interests me more is this statement by Brit Hume: So if you’re a Christian and you ask for forgiveness, you’re off the hook for fucking 17-odd women outside of your

My name is Mike Wills. I am a Lutheran and I support Gay marriage. Despite what my personal thoughts and beliefs are (I think it is wrong), I think gay people should be allowed to have the same rights as any man and woman marriage has. I my long-time friend from high school is gay and I would want him to be happy with whatever he does.
I have blogged on this before (lost the post long ago). I think the term “marriage” is the problem. Marriage is a religious term. Marriage has religious meaning. So lets drop marriage as a legal term and leave that to the church. Call it something different for everyone and make gay “marriage” legal and leave it to the church to decide if they want to marry gays or not.
