He’s one of the most generous men I’ve ever met. When our podcasting friend Joe Murphy died, Tee was the front man for the website and podcast, first to raise money for Joe’s family and then to help fight leiomyosarcoma. Tee was a founder and one of the first authors to give away their audio

So I’m reposting this for tomorrow. Joe Murphy, podcaster and XM Radio personality, passed away April 1, 2007 from the rare cancer leiomyosarcoma. Jack Mangan asks that we make April 1st Joe Day and use pictures of Joe as our avatars and just generally take time to think about our old friend. Feel free to

My Joe Murphy Missing Ninja wristband bit the dust tonight! Split right in half when I was scratching my wrist underneath. Crap. I’m going to have to remember to get another one at Mike’s this weekend. If you want one, you can go here and get one or send me the $5 and I’ll mail

I’m reposting some information about the Joe Murphy Memorial Fund website and their Give Us a Minute podcast. I think of Joe quite a bit still and miss him often. Tee has updated the podcast recently with information about giving blood at Dragon*Con for Joe. Joe Murphy, podcaster and XM Radio personality, passed away April

Joe Murphy, podcaster and XM Radio personality, passed away April 1 from the rare cancer leiomyosarcoma. Joe’s favorite song was Jonathan Coulton‘s “First of May,” so to raise awareness of his disease and raise funds for his family, a group of podcasters lead by Paul Fischer and Phil Rossi have recorded a benefit version of

Had a dream last night that a bunch of us were playing poker (which I haven’t played in a bazillion years) including Joe, but just out of the corner of my eye at the other end of the table and he was wearing a tux. Which woke me up. And then I had that Mason

If you take 4 minutes of your life to enjoy this video (thanks to snowcalla) it won’t be wasted. I guaran-damn-tee it. Kira and Grammi at the park yesterday. So today, I’m actually going to take the time to organize the tons of pictures we’ve taken over the last few months and try to update

What I didn’t mention in yesterday’s post was that after Wingin’ It we recorded a memorial show for Joe. I mean, his death was inevitable and Mur was there and waiting until after would have been too painful. Nice memories, show excerpts, and a song or two dedicated to our Joe. Cheyenne Wright did this

Man, am I tired. Woke this morning with the baby. Breakfasted, she and me took a shower, snuggled a while and then I dumped her at Casey’s friend’s house. Stopped by the hospice to see Joe and he was out of it. His Dad says they’ve upped his drugs again so there’s likely no chance

Definitely an awesome thing. I’m glad Joe got his wish granted.
Still sad that, as one person commented, y’all are having to check off his wishlist so fast. I’ve only been listening to DracoVista podcasts since the Dragon*Con episode of Wingin’ It, but I sure as hell know that Joe makes up a huge part of that family, and it’ll be a sadder show without him bitching about the guys referring to the “nose” on their beer! :\

That is so cool! Things like that make me glad to be a little part of the Draco-Vista family, even if I am just that distant cousin that no one has met yet…
And that’s a really cool avatar!
